Your Fiduciary & Advocate
Dedicated, willing to lead and not afraid of hard work, I am a Fiduciary and Advocate for clients.
I typically serve as a Personal CFO (Chief Financial Officer) or Financial Project Manager, solving problems and finding opportunities, to help people prosper through Nimble Planning and Intentional Investing.
I work independently, but not alone, as a central trusted advisor with three decades of experience guiding people on matters of risk management, income management, cash flow, financial planning, retirement planning, transitions, investing and taxes.
Before starting an independent registered investment advisory firm in 2000, I worked with multiple life insurance companies and a New York Stock Exchange brokerage firm for almost 10 years.
In addition to an Economics degree from the University of Michigan, I earned the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) credentials, each of which requires the same experience, but more coursework and testing than the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®).
Entrepreneurial since I was a teen, my network of supporting local experts includes a tax attorney, other attorneys, multiple CPAs and various insurance or financial professionals.
Personally, I enjoy cycling (mountain and road), downhill skiing, fly-fishing and coaching. Ultimately, I want to make the most of every day with my wife, kids, clients and community.
